Not too much to report on the homefront yet! Our basement should be dug in about two weeks from now. Our plans are back from engineering & I think we are just waiting on a permit? Not sure!
Our 'house guy' that I raved about in my last post is leaving for a promotion, in a different company, so that sucks for us (sad face)... he said he will see us through to construction though, so I think that we will have another meeting with him and then be passed on to someone else!
I'm also indecisive about my kitchen cabinets now... was going to go with white cabinets that had a wash/glaze on them. The glaze would tie in with the darker stain that we plan to use on the fireplace/tv book shelves but now I am wondering if we should just do the darker colour 'espresso' throughout?! Decisions, decisions!

Hey Lou, I'm thinking you should stay lighter on the cabinets. I have a couple friends with dark dark cabinets and they are so wishing they had medium to light coloured ones.... it just makes everything so dark. You can always have the wall colour darker. Dark cabinet doors will show all the dust, and probably any splashes a lot faster than light ones.
